View over the rooftops, Bathurst.
Today it was a little tough getting out of bed. The day, however, awaited, and was not to be delayed. After a busy morning writing, typing, and organising my fantastic writers’ group, Ryan and I got out on the bikes… much to the aghast of our legs.
We took a pleasant hour’s ride around various parks, Kelso and north Bathurst, before gladly returning home. Ah well! Tomorrow is another day. With a little practise we’ll be cycling from here to Orange every day (a distance of 50km… somehow I doubt it). Although on that note, I’d really like to cycle from Bathurst to my hometown, Tumut, 315km southeast. The distance isn’t as intimidating as the terrain, which is largely mountainous. In fact aside from the small part of highway the trip crosses, and the plains between Young and Cowra, it’s all mountainous. Hm… will have to practise harder. 😀
I took a few photos while out on the ride, but on a day like this, full of hard work and close horizons, the rooftops seen from our porch spoke far more for the mood.
Where will tomorrow take us? I feel refreshed just thinking about it! Always another horizon!
